An educator, a counselor and lifelong learner, Dean has over 25 years of experience in the fields of education and psychology. His introduction to accreditation came while teaching in Los Angeles, going through two cycles of the process with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). As the Middle Years Program Coordinator with the International School of Turin, Italy, Dean chaired the school's two-year self-study to unconditional reaccreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
Dean would later volunteer his time as a visiting team member with CIS, enjoying the inherent and mutual professional development that came with visits to international schools in Basel, Frankfurt, Medellín and Barranquilla. Now serving as the Director of Communications with Palm Beach State College, Dean continues his role with CIS and is certified to serve as co-chair for evaluation teams.
When he's not visiting international schools, Dean can be found travelling, hiking, biking and writing about people, places and experiences from Chicago to Shanghai.
